I get asked frequently about the top trends for 2009 so what better way to describe them than to break them down into categories so everyone can see what best goes with their personality.
This might not be new to everyone because you’ve probably already seen the styles at least once, but for those that don’t know how to wear these styles will hopefully find this helpful.
Country Western Style
Now this has increasingly gotten popular we see it in flannel shirts, cowboy boots, and belts.
How to Wear:
The best way to wear this style is to pair it with a neutral trench jacket and some skinny jeans (these remind us of riding pants). It can be paired with a dress and belt as well. It doesn’t matter what color flannel shirt you wear the trench jacket will neutralize this style. Cowboy boots can be found at a lot of stores right now and are a great way to sport this look.

Animal Prints
This style has longevity it was popularized many years ago and has been drifting in and out of seasonal trends since then; so once again its back. Animal prints are hot this season in our shoes and dresses.
How to Wear:
The best ways to wear these animal prints are to make them minimalist because if worn as a whole piece can make your outfit seem cheap and doesn’t come across as a whole ensemble. I would pair an animal print with dark neutral colors (black, gray, or tan). With colored pieces it can become a hot mess a great way to do this is with shoes, taking a solid dress and pairing with leopard shoes, or an animal print scarf with a neutral trench coat.

Dark colored sparkles is a representation of the 80’s, it’s all about glamour and shapes this trend is great for when you’re going out with the girls or a special occasion event because it has so much going on.
How to Wear:
Wear this trend without any jewelry, it already has enough sparkle that you don’t want to over do it and have them competing against each other. You’re sure to stand out and attract a lot of attention in this trend without any. I would buy this trend as a dress and pair it with nylons or a tunic top with skinny jeans.
